Mobile Marketing

New internet technology can be confusing - it's often fast-moving, gimmicky, fragmented, overloaded, interconnected, unregulated, and exhausting to understand.

However, technology and the internet are having a huge impact on business and on the way we communicate, for example:

At Hortipak we aim to research and develop techologies that provide our customers with innovative, value-adding solutions that can meet the needs of the present as well as the changing demands of the future.

Hortipak would love to help you to:
  • Provide your customers and end users with multimedia information, such as printed, video content - e.g. add video content to your labels via smartphones;
  •  Connect your marketing messages across print and digital media - e.g. drive customers from brochure or flyers directly to an e-commerce site & measure the results;
  • Try something new with digital technolgies (such as social media &, web marketing), demonstrate the results, and continually improve the project over time.
One of the ways we can help you is by connecting your existing marketing messages by using mobile devices - the fastest growing technology on the planet.

How could we do that?

It's been called "Amazing" by Joe Swift and "Fantastic" by Alan Titchmarsh, but at Hortipak we call it Digital Space.

Now you see it, now you don't...
Digital Space is a system that allows us to place an imperceptible 'digital watermark' in the digital files that make up print, audio and videos. When scanned with the Digital Space mobile app (for iPhone and Android), we can connect those files to other online digital assets. In other words, it's interactive media-enhanced print - the best of both worlds, without disrupting the design or taking up space. We've teamed up with Digital Space to help bring this outstanding technology to our customers horticultural products and campaigns.

Benefits:

Our fundamental, firsthand knowledge of horticulture and marketing services leads to a better result for our clients. We can talk equally knowledgeably about printed solutions as we can mobile digital strategy and, through Digital Space data analytics, we can measure consumer behaviour through the more traditional marketing channels. This means that we can develop innovative, accountable campaigns for all the touch points in your business.

By applying a Digital Space digital watermark, Hortipak can create some very exciting opportunities and deliver some incredible benefits to users and value to brands.
  • Link print & video to web via a mobile device;
  • Communicate and Authenticate ownership, and secure IDs;
  • Automatically monitor and measure broadcasts and Internet distribution;
  • Manage digital rights and brands;
  • Deter piracy and counterfeiting;
  • Build the technology into your existing apps under your own brand.
  • Digital Space is also a robust 'closed loop system' for maximum security.
Smart use of technology - from Hortipak.

"If it's imperceptible, how do we know it's there?"
Easy, you tell them in a way that supports your branding and campaign.

We could print a black and white grid, like a barcode, but we'd prefer to give you the choice - especially on smaller items like labels.
For example, The Daily Telegraph created 'Telegraph Go' - a logo that indicates interactive printed areas in a supplement (click here to see their website). During the launch campaign this feature was the first of it's kind, so as well as delivered appropriate mobile content, it also differentiated the newspaper in it's market.

Why Mobile Marketing?
Your customers are talking about you in social media networks and using their smartphones to do things that were unthinkable only a few years ago, but that does not mean that the core marketing skills and tools are not of use any more, if anything they are more important and of greater value when maximising the speed and efficiency of your marketing mix.
Your customers scan, search, learn, buy and share in an instant – you need to meet these needs too.
- Get it right and you will create huge value with your customers and for your shareholders.
- Get it wrong or fail to act fast and customers will find their needs met by other brands.
