How our stock label system works
Our labels are all stored in our ever-expanding warehouse, based at Ryedale Group in North Yorkshire, UK. We now forecast demand and produce our stock labels on a 10 week advance rolling cycle. We calculate demand using historical order patterns, experience and existing orders. The earlier you place your order the more accurate our forecast becomes.
When you order on hortipak.co.uk your requirements are processed automatically and immediately.
If an order contains products that are in stock the requirements are automatically transfered to our distribution team's wireless warehousing handsets, so that they can pick, pack and despatch according to due date. This process can take up to 2 working days depending on the volume of orders we receive, however we aim always to ship products that are in stock within 2 working days regardless of demand.
If an order contains products that are out of stock a restocking requirement is automatically triggered and planned to a production run. This process can take approximately 10 working days as various requirements are collated; we are always working hard to reduce this lead time.
